Eko Bintang’s solo exhibition, (Un)certain Behavior, explores unpredictable shifts in identity and the influences of perception on these changes. The exhibition title places the prefix “Un” in brackets to highlight the paradox inherent in identity: We know our behaviors are bound to change over time, yet the direction and nature of the change are never fully predictable. Eko's works instill an intuitive and interesting contemplation of identity carried primarily through the figures present in them. The figures are the main actors, the plot, and, to some extent a mirror for the spectators. Perhaps we are urged to understand ourselves by trying to understand others.

Achievements are often achieved with a number of dramas. Not always according to plan, even taking a winding, steep, dangerous, risky path. Empirically, and also if experienced from a spiritual perspective, there is always a hidden blessing behind it, which results in an unexpected gift (blessing). However, all of that requires the courage to make choices, the courage to bear the consequences, steadfastness, accompanied by commitment and integrity. Often it seems like a coincidence, but in fact it is a result that deserves to be harvested. The results will not betray the process.
